This paper was considered moderately difficult. The Accounts paper focused heavily on:
- Partnership Accounts — Admission, Retirement and Dissolution (high weightage as always)
- Company Accounts — Share capital and debenture problems appeared in both objective and subjective sections
- Depreciation — SLM vs WDV numerical problems
- Consignment & Branch Accounts — At least one problem from each appeared
- Single Entry / Incomplete Records — Statement of Affairs method was tested
Difficulty Level: Moderate. Students who practiced ICAI Study Material and Past Papers scored well.

Key Takeaways for Your Next Attempt

- ICAI Study Material is non-negotiable — over 70% of questions were directly adapted from SM + Practice Manual
- Past 5 years' papers are your best practice resource — patterns repeat
- Presentation matters in subjective papers — proper working notes, headings and journal entries earn full marks even with minor errors
- Don't skip small chapters — Insurance Claims, Department Accounts and AS standards are consistent high-weightage areas
- Revise rather than add new topics in the last 3 weeks — depth beats breadth in CA exams
